The Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa, taxpayer identification no. 600083853 with facilities located at Alameda da Universidade, Cidade Universitária, 1649-004 Lisboa, aims at teaching and research and intervention in the field of education and training. It is its responsibility to process the personal data collected by several means, including its site, as part of its duties.

The site  http://www.ie.ulisboa.pt is managed by the Instituto de Educação. All the contents present in this site aim at passing institutional information, and divulging projects and activities related to teaching and research, particularly targeted at applicants, students, alumni, guardians, teachers, researchers and other stakeholders. We will collect personal data provided by the data subject him/herself, within the execution of work contracts with our employees, the reception of spontaneous applications for recruitment purposes, the enrolment in graduate and post-graduate education courses, in person at our services, through the Fénix, SAP, Moodle and Gereventos platforms or through requests for information and contacts through our site, within the scope of supporting the use of information systems, participating in events we organize, continuous training, conducting research projects and maintaining institutional and commercial relations with national and foreign Universities and Faculties, companies, public bodies, non-profit organizations, professional associations, and with other stakeholders regarding our activity.

2. Data provided by entities other than the personal data subject

We will collect personal data provided by other national and foreign Universities and Faculties within the scope of academic and research activity, schools and training centers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders, regarding the execution of contracts, the organization of and participation in events, the conduction of research and consulting projects and the maintenance of institutional relations with the different stakeholders.as várias partes interessadas.

How we protect your personal data

The Privacy Policy of the Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa guarantees, within its processing operations, the protection of all information regarding an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”), inter alia by reference to an identifier such as the name, identification number, geographic location data, electronic identifiers, or specific elements of his/her genetic, cultural, physical, social, physiological, mental or economic identity within the processing operations carried out on these data by our services. How we adjust the processing of your data to specific purposes

All data are processed in a way that is appropriate to the effects of application / enrolment / registration and attendance of academic courses and activities / access and processing of services such as academic services, treasury, GAPE, library, Advisory and Secretarial Department, computer support or others, or for public interest archiving purposes, for scientific or historical research or for statistical purposes, when required by law, in accordance with the information provided, whenever requested, directly to the data subject. We ensure that, by default, only the personal data needed for each specific purpose are processed.

How we store your personal data

The data gathered will only be stored during the period of time strictly necessary for the student’s application, enrolment and/or attendance, extending beyond its end only as long as the limitation and/or expiry period lasts of any right emerging from the academic situation, or from a contract and/or the time required by any other legal provision that the Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa is subject to, namely regarding the Ministério da Educação e Ensino Superior. In the absence of the above circumstances, we will carry out the destruction or anonymization of your data.

How we limit the disclosure of your data

The Instituto de Educação will only transmit your data to the Ministério da Educação e Ensino Superior and other official bodies, as well as to the central services of the Universidade de Lisboa, towards whom it has legal obligations, or with the consent of the data subject for the purpose of institutional communication and dissemination of the educational offer and services provided by the institution.

The Instituto de Educação ensures that you may at any time, quickly and without cost, access the data that concern you, request their correction, erasure, limitation of processing, express your opposition to their processing, as well as request their transmission to other people responsible for the processing, if this does not constitute a breach of a legal obligation, through the email geral@ie.ulisboa.pt .

If you have consented to the collection and processing of data that are not indispensable for the assessment of applications and/or execution of contracts concluded with the Instituto de Educação or other similar situations, as data subject you may at any time withdraw your consent, except if their storage proves to be necessary to meet a legal obligation or for purposes of the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
