Current development of lesson Study around the world: forms, effects, and adaptation

This presentation focuses on the origin and development of lesson study from an international perspective. First, the development of lesson study in Japan and China will be described from cultural and educational policy perspectives. Then, variation of lesson study in Europe and the USA will be introduced. After that, the characteristics of effective lesson study are summarized. Finally, the challenges of adaption and scalability of lesson study are discussed.
